Samsung Galaxy

Samsung Galaxy

Covers Galaxy S8 and later (the point where Google's table starts listing Samsung separately) up to current S, Z Fold and Z Flip models, plus A-series on One UI.

Developer options

  1. Settings > About phone > Software information.
  2. Tap Build number seven times.
  3. Developer options appears under Settings > Developer options.

Sources: developer.android.com/studio/debug/dev-options (Samsung Galaxy S8 and later: Settings > About phone > Software information > Build number); developer.samsung.com/mobile/galaxy-sdk-getting-started.html (same sequence, stated by Samsung itself); developer.samsung.com/health/data/guide/phone-developer-options.html.

USB debugging

  1. Settings > Developer options.
  2. Turn on USB debugging.

Source: developer.samsung.com/mobile/galaxy-sdk-getting-started.html, which states: "Turn on USB debugging by tapping Settings > Developer options > USB debugging".

Vendor extras

Source for both: developer.samsung.com (DeX testing guide; Galaxy SDK getting started pages).

Windows USB driver

Samsung publishes one: https://developer.samsung.com/android-usb-driver ("You need the driver only if you are developing on Windows and want to connect a Samsung Android device to your development environment over USB").

The older path on Google's OEM table, https://developer.samsung.com/galaxy/others/android-usb-driver-for-windows, still redirects there (checked 2026-10-12).
