Oppo

Oppo

Covers ColorOS phones, including Find, Reno and A series.

Developer options

  1. Settings > About phone.
  2. Tap the build or version entry seven times (ColorOS wording varies; the entry may be called Version, Build number or Software version).
  3. Developer options appears under Settings > System > Developer options on most ColorOS builds.

USB debugging

  1. Open Developer options.
  2. Turn on USB debugging.

Vendor extras

None documented. ColorOS occasionally moves the Developer options entry into a different sub-menu between versions; the Settings search box is the fastest way to find it.

Windows USB driver

Oppo does not publish a driver download, but it does publish official troubleshooting articles for exactly this failure. Its guidance: open Device Manager, select the phone, and either install the driver from this computer or manually download the driver; another Oppo article tells the user to switch the USB notification from charging to "Transfer Files" first, then update the USB driver through "Browse my computer for driver software".

No official Oppo driver file was found on 2026-10-12, so the escalation path is: Oppo's own driver-troubleshooting articles (above), then Windows Update, then wireless ADB on Android 11 or newer, which removes the driver from the equation (../manual/04-wireless-adb.md).

The Google USB driver is not recommended here: Google documents it for Google devices and directs other devices to their manufacturers (developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb).
